This July 4, in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, the Albertsons Companies Foundation, including your local Jewel-Osco, is launching Nourish the American Dream to help end childhood hunger once and for all. They will match up to $25,000 in donations.
Chicago Comes Together for Race to Feed 2026
The 2026 Race to Feed Chicago brought the community together to pack 2,400 bags of food and raise a record-breaking $30,000, supporting 6,400 local children while highlighting the inspiring leadership of student volunteers and community partners.
FOX32 Chicago NOW Highlights Need for Hunger-Free Weekends in Chicago
On FOX32 Chicago NOW, Blessings in a Backpack’s Chicago Managing Director, Dan, highlighted that more than 600,000 children in the greater Chicago area are experiencing food insecurity and invited the community to take action through the Race to Feed event.
