Meet Mission Ambassador, Bill Cooke!
William “Bill” Grammatis Cooke, a student at DePaul College Prep, is one of the newest Mission Ambassadors for the Blessings in a Backpack Chicago Chapter. With a passion for giving back, Bill is eager to make a difference for children in his community.
When asked why he chose to get involved, Bill shared:
“I want to make more of a difference in my community, especially for kids growing up in tough situations that I never thought twice about, like food insecurity. I want to join their growing mission and have the opportunity to help people in my community who need it most.”
Bill also expressed admiration for our mission of feeding kids on weekends:
“I like the mission of feeding kids on the weekends because the model is so simple and replicable, but it can leave such a huge impact on kids’ lives.”
We are excited to have Bill on the team and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make as a Mission Ambassador.
If you know a high schooler seeking service hours, encourage them to join our team of Mission Ambassadors! For more information, email eleanors@blessingsinabackpack.org.
