DIY 5K Raises $80,000 to Feed Kids in Chicago
DIY 5K Raises More Than $80,000 from 822 Participants!
Thanks to your incredible support and participation, we raised $80,000, providing essential food for 500 additional children every Friday of the school year. The 2024 DIY 5K has 41 teams, with participants ranging in age from 2 to 80 years. This year’s event also included a team and participants from our school program in Hammond, Indiana. It’s remarkable to see our community come together for such an important cause, and we are grateful for your contributions. Click here to view photos from the event.
We’re thrilled to share the highlights of this year’s DIY 5K and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making it a huge success. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing efforts of our Advisory and Associate Boards, and we want to give a special shoutout to the DIY 5K committee: Christine Schyvinck, Catherine Zimmerman, Gabby Knox, Kathy Raby, Kim Bovier, Kristine Prugh, Lexi Fink, Shannon Fitzgerald, Dustin James, Eleanor Stewart, Elizabeth Andaas, and Maxwell Pristic.
