2025 Race to Feed Chicago Sets New Records

The 2025 Race to Feed Chicago was a night to remember, setting new records for bags packed and children fed—2,400 in total—while raising more than $21,000 and welcoming 192 attendees.

But the numbers only tell half the story.

Hosted by the Blessings in a Backpack Chicago Associate Board and led by Event Chair Paul King, the event brought together teams from across the area to support the shared mission of providing hunger-free weekends for local kids. The enthusiasm in the room was undeniable, fueled by a collective commitment to feeding kids on the weekends.

Cheered on by Media Sponsor Kyle Milamow, morning producer of the Melissa and Austin show on US99, Chicago’s Country Radio, attendees packed bags of food with energy and purpose.

The winning team, led by Kathy Raby from CX Connect, clinched victory by mere seconds. Still, the real winners were the children served by the Blessings in a Backpack Chicago Chapter, who left the event with the promise of nutrition and care throughout the school year.
